At Planover Engineering Consult Limited, we are proud to be at the forefront of transformative water infrastructure projects that aim to enhance the quality of life for communities. Our latest engagement focuses on the Detailed Engineering Design and Supervision of Works for the Owena-Ondo and Igbara-Oke Water Supply Schemes, a project that aligns with national priorities and global sustainability goals.
Project Overview
Ondo State, located in southern Nigeria with Akure as its capital, faces critical water supply challenges. The Ondo State Water Corporation (ODWC), under the new Ondo Urban Water Law (2017), is spearheading efforts to restore and expand water supply systems across the state.
The Owena-Ondo Water Treatment Plant (WTP), originally commissioned in 1965 and last upgraded in 1990, has been non-operational since 2010. The plant and the Igbara-Oke Water Supply Scheme require comprehensive rehabilitation to meet the growing water demands of urban and rural communities.
Our Commitment
Planover Engineering Consult Limited is dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Our role encompasses:
- Detailed Engineering Design (DED): Preparing comprehensive designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Supervision of Construction Works: Overseeing project execution to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Sustainability Focus: Incorporating energy-efficient technologies and sustainable practices to promote environmental stewardship.
Impact on Communities
This project will:
- Restore reliable access to potable water for over 3 million residents.
- Improve public health outcomes through better sanitation.
- Strengthen Ondo State’s resilience against climate-related water scarcity.
Looking Ahead
As we advance with the Owena-Ondo & Igbara-Oke Water Supply Schemes, Planover Engineering Consult Limited remains committed to engineering excellence, sustainability, and community development. Together, we are building a future where every resident of Ondo State has access to safe, reliable, and sustainable water resources.
